**Star Temple**

“Zara!” I yelled.

“What?” came her voice. She was right beside me, per usual. “A bad time?” she asked, even though she knew everything.

I grumbled a bit. “I was about to beat Odin!”

“Oh, he’s defeated. That attack was something else,” she observed.

It was quite annoying that she was up to date on everything, yet I only was in the know during these little side trips. The moment I went back, I’d forget all about whatever happened. “When will the separation end? I mean, I feel like if I knew what I know now, I’d have a better chance of taking down Gibraltar.”

The ancient devil dragon gave it some thought, at least I think she did. “I could give you the normal explanation – greater forces at play and all that. Odin already told you more than he should have,” she said offhandedly.

“You mean about being a pure blood? He didn’t quite explain that any further.”

“For good reason. If the truth got out, I could only imagine what the idiot General Victor would do,” she barked.

Victor, that guy was going to get his. With my new ability… “Don’t even think about it.”

“Stop reading my mind,” I snapped.

“I don’t have to,” she countered. “It’s written all over your face. You will get your opportunity, but not yet. You’re not ready.”

If I wasn’t ready now, then when? “I feel as strong as I ever have. My abilities are growing each day!”

“Exactly.” It was almost as if I made her point for her, the way she reacted. “Victor is gathering the darker summons right as we speak, creating a war council. The more allies he gathers, the more of their energy he syphons. Those idiots don’t even know they are being played.”

It was only then I realized that we weren’t on the planet together. “Zara, just where the hell are we?” I asked, panic building fast and quick.

“You’re fine, stop it,” she chided me. “This is the Star Temple. It took me a great deal to figure out the path to open this one.”

Star Temple? “I don’t even want to know, do I?”

She put her arm around me and guided me around. The extraterrestrial landscape was like never I’d ever seen. Grey rock formed mountains and valleys that sprawled all around. It looked very much dead, as if no life could survive in such an environment. I almost asked how in the world were we able to breathe, but I let that one go. I’m sure whatever bull crap answer Zara had would only make my head hurt.

At the end of the little valley we were in was a fortress carved out of the space rock. It looked daunting, that was for sure. “Pleasant spot for a vacation,” I joked.

“For us, it will be quite pleasant actually.”

I wasn’t sure if I was ready to buy what she was selling. “How so?”

“To enter the Star Temple, we must create an orgasm that shakes the ground,” Zara said, very seriously.

Nothing – I didn’t say a single word.
